I have neon white windshield washer lights on my ride.....seems the local cops here have NO IDEA about there own rules. Im venting so bare with plz. I got tagged for street racing, i wonder y i was racing???, anyways the cop, who had an EXTREMELY bad attitude, yelled at me for an hour but said my lights were cool CAUSE they were white. That was 3 wks ago.......now to last night, a load of people goto the club and as i jump out my ride, the cops that were there start yelling at me about with windshield washer lights, i go over there to explain that some of there "boys" said that they were cool....to my astonishment 1 of the cops giving me the 3rd degree is the same loser that nailed me for racing and said they were cool!!! I started yelling at him in front of his cop buddies and he claims that i was lying etc etc so i showed the tickets he wrote me for that night and NONE was for those lights but he wrote me for some BLUE lights on had on my license plate.....needless to say Slick was in a bind after that and told me to **** off. Some cops say they r cool and some say they r illegal, hell i had a cop read out the book that every color was illegal except WHITE!!! which i have. The cops here in the south have a bad rep and real bad reps with the young community because of situations like this.

They constantly badger anyone they can and cops here r notorious for starting crap with you so that they can arrest you. Also of note, to somewhat prove im not a little punkass with an attitude im 22 and been in the Air Force for 3 yrs with an EXCELLENT military record thus far. But i just really cant stand cops for there ego trips and the fact that they dont know there own rules and seem to make them up as they go along. There r good ones out there dont get me wrong...ive met them, but they r so out numbered it isnt even remotely funny. Thx for the vent....will i change my lights?? NOPE....not till they find out cause they obviously dont know.

just carry a current copy of the vehicle code for you state in your glove box... that way if they question anything you can pull that out and prove them wrong and most cops are cool if you dont get an attitude with them... just act cool and almost every time they will be nice in return

The night i got nailed for racing i was cool, i mean...i was racing hehe but i was straight with the cop. BUT when i saw him at the club and he proceeded to badger me about lights that not 3 wks ago said were cool, i went off. Im so tired of them not knowing there rules. I felt better after i shoved the tickets in his face and y he wrote me for 1 but not the other, cause he was just talking so much mess and given me hell in front of his "fellow officers" that i needed to set him straight. I know it worked cause his buddies stopped talking mess and just gave him a look, i walked into the club with a smile and had a great night.

Im cool with cops if they r cool with me but when they bend rules to accomodate them then i lose it. Just a thing with me about rules, if ya got em then cool, but u start changing them on me, well hehe ya we will see. My dad is a retired cop...he knows the rules...i know the rules, like my post said....cop is just a punk.

lol actually the street racing ticket i got was for revving my engine and burning the tires....we WERE street racing but i never made it under the light when the cops surrounded us, u would almost think that they knew we were gonna race. My car moved 5 ft before i got pulled over but for ANYONE visiting Mississppi, if u rev ur engine and bark those lovely tires.....prepare to be pulled over by our WONDERFUL police force.

biloxi? my brother was stationed there for 5 months for tech school, he's been in 3 years now also, but after biloxi he went to charleston where he's been for over 2 years now. anyway.....yeah the majority of cops notice you mod your car in the least and they stereotype you as a delinquent who needs a power-tripping cop in his/her face. in new jersey any level of tinting darker than what comes standard on your car is illegal. of course everyone does it anyway, but i've had cops follow me for miles JUST because of my tinting, like they want to scare me...

And to Kori, yea i live 10 mins from the base where ur bro went for tech, if he was here for 5 months is he in air traffic control or something to do with weather? i got sent to BFE Texas where the most exciting thing to do was count the grasshoppers!!

i liked it a lot, except the gulf of mexico there is like....it reminded me of a lake. it was just this brownish water. i'm used to going to the beach here at home with a blue ocean and crashing waves. jet-skiing was fun there though, good spot for that [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]
and i think i tried getting into some bar, and the girl got super pissy with me cause i didn't have an ID. ok so i was 17 at the time but i was used to Boston, where i went to private school, and never had to have an ID.

i live in amherst, NY. it has been voted the safest town in america 3 out of the past 4 years. all the cops do here is drive around and hound on teenagers for doing absolutely nothing. there is a lot of illegal activity (nothing horrible, but there is drugs and drunk drivers every once and a while) that goes on around here but the cops are too busy harassing americas youth instead of catching the read bad guys. i used to get pulled over constantly just for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. in the paper a few weeks ago they did an article on cops salaries, and the AVERAGE regular old cop makes $75,000 a year. thats just a regular guy, the lieutenants are making $104,000 a year. at least i know where my tax money is going. the taxs in this town are crazy high. oh and P.S. the reason why it was only the 3 out of the last 4 years is because one year a doctor that performed abortions was murdered in his house, and he lives about 3 miles from me, and they never caught the guy. i hate cops, and i feel youre pain.

man, I live in this little town that has the dumbest cops ever. I've been pulled 5 times since I got my car 6 months ago. The thing that pisses me off is that everytime they pull me over, it's for some stupid shit!!!! Once I was pulled for doing 49 in a 40. I know how much these assholes want to stop me, so I don't give them the chance. I actually had my cruise control set on 40 and was slowing down because there were two cops on the side of the road ahead of me. I argued with this cop for an hour and he never showed me any video or radar to prove that I was speeding. However, he still wrote me a ticked for my "cocky" atitude. And my most recent pull, the cop pulled me over in a 55mph zone and said that he clocked me doing 50mph. I said ok, then he starts yelling at me saying that I was speeding because the speed limit there was 40mph. I argued with this guy forever because I drive this particular road every single damn day, and I never saw a 40mph speed limit sign anywhere. Well, I thought that maybe they had just changed it and I missed something, so like a dumb ass, I took the ticket. Afterwards, I drove up and down that stretch of road about 6 times and I never saw a 40mph limit sign. Those bastards don't even know the speed limits in their own towns!!!!!!!!!!![IMG]i/expressions/moon.gif[/IMG] I hate cops over here. I'm scared to even leave my house and go to work because I have to drive through town. And the worst part is that the whole police department, including the chief, is so corrupt, nobody can do anything about it. Tell me if that doesn't suck monkey *****!!!

well, techniqualy, you are not suppose to have any kind of lights on ur hood(in florida anyway) maybe you should check with the local law. cops sometimes will let you go with those lights on the car, but sometimes they can't do that, especially when their boss or some sort is watching. you pretty much humilated him front of his people, how would you feel if someone humilated you front of all your friends, hope you don't get catch by the same guy, i am sure he won't go easy on you next time.

not knowing what is what. And the only reason y i busted on him was cause he was talking so much crap and basically calling me an ignorant young punk...and that was before i had said anything!! So i felt great when i nailed him back but i know what to expect from him if he gets me.

Also of note, another reason y cops r have bad reps, i had a cop pull me over for doing 47 in a 45....im not lying. He said i passed him and was i quote "Disrespecting a police officer" do u know how long it takes to catch up to a car AND then pass them when u r doing 47 and he is doing 45?!?!?!?! Cars in front of him were speeding away from us but he saw my car with the decals and pulled me over. I started venting cause seriously...47 in a 45, he said he would write me a ticket if i kept smarting off, but i was hot and taunted him to write the ticket and i would see his sorry self in court.....he never wrote it cause he knew what was up.Told me to "slow down" and he left. Like i said, my dad is a cop so i know whats up, they try to be punks and bullies here but if u know ur stuff u can make them feel so insecure. We get judged cause of the car, so freakin lame.
