congrats on all your schooling im impressed but at the same time i could give a **** less because if its going to make stuck up pieces of dirt like you than i could do without ya in the world. now yea i realize a 2 year school is nothing to you but its a degree not certificate and im going for 4 years and possibly 2 more for a masters., yes thats nothing to you, almighty one, but in my field its teh equivalent to w/e your doing or more im sure (considerign the grease monkeys around)
diskreet thanks for lookin out, im glad you qouted him before he decided to change it. so were you trying to say you know more than me by explaning hwo you can breakdown the expansion of a piston then following up with "i replaced a axle" please. yes brains is important and all but so is a freakin personality and although i cant decide on urs im guessing its not that great. btw i think a 4 year school for 13 a year and possibility of easily making 180-200k a year isnt bad, especially doing what i love.
oh and p.s. i took ethics also and youve used alot of fallacies
anyways ive made a few of the points/arguments ive had to make and since we all hate e-fights lets put this to an end and agree we both over-reacted.
Hey guys. This thread started nice and then get less funy
. I know that in this forum are also non civic drivers which can produce some tension. But, just accept that "funy signs" and don't make comments on persons characters. We are different but that is not the point to blame others.
I liked the "funy signs", the resonable, ones and interpret this are simple car jokes. Maybe somebady know, in europe there was lots of jokes about the east german Trabant.

As for replacing the axel thing, that's just becuase that's what I've had to do in the past couple of months. In my life I've rebuilt 3 engines (2 B16A's (one turbo) and one chevy 350 that I had in my 11 second camaro). I've also taken driving classes at Mid-Ohio race way.
Yes I know what a master mechanic is and the schooling they go through, if you can do that, go for it! I've got 2 good friends that have gone through being a master mechanic, and I know it's not easy. I don't think that is worthless or anything like that, in fact quite the contrary without their help I could have never rebuilt the 2 of the 3 engines I've done (the first engine I rebuilt was with Don Garlets). And no 2 year schools are not worthless, my fiance is going to one to be a dential hygenisit (sp?), the important thing to me is that you are doing what you want. You said this is what you love to do, so do it.
As for schooling, I'm far from high and mighty, the guy a few offices down from me has 4 PhD's, 8 Master degrees and 16 Bachelors degrees; that is my definition of smart, I am not smart. So I ask you not to be impressed because there are far more impressive people in the world than myself.
I changed what I said because after I read it agian, I decided I over did it and said somethings that where not correct, so I felt bad and wanted to correct it

Yes, this is getting stupid and we both over reacted. But at least we added to the post count in this thread

well im in auto major, its a 2 year but 4 year option and 2 more after that option. with the bachelors degree people have made 150 give or take 20. (being service department heads at big dealerships or whatnot.) and if i go another 2 after that and get a masters in business id be hired instantly because not many people in my field have that yet. and so id demand higher pay and could get 200k, as for a master tech. they generally make 100k ish.
if i just did the 2 year, (no ase certifications yet) id get a job starting** at 40ish, but as they see what i can do pay would go up as in any job.
oh yeah, and there is supposedly a guy working on creating a program to make a doctrine degree in automotive tech. specifically. so i could literally become a car doctor lol.

There is a neon (not the SRT4) at school that has a sticker that says "drive it like you stole it." That's not very funny or anything, what was funny was when I drove by and the tow truck was pulling his car out the bushes after he jumped the curb on a sharp turn.

To make it even worse Mitsubishi bastardizes cars with Chrysler.

well, 1. Honda does make a darn good lawnmower
far better than mitsu2. Chrysler sold off their mitsu stocks 2 days ago, they have nothing to do with mitsu any more.

I really don't know much about Mitsu as far as engines and reliability. I think some of their cars look cool though.

Well, if you like them, you better buy one soon, they may not be making car much longer after their lies and what not
^ from what i heard thats only in america, supposedly chrysler was their life support and now without that they may pull out of america.
as for reliability i think they are alright but nothing compared to toyota or nissan and especially honda.

Mitsu's quality is very good. They got a bad rap over the 1st and 2nd gen eclipses when people didn't maintain them enough. Lets see 200+ whp, turbo 4 cyl... yeah it needs maintenence more than a civic does.
i see 150,000+ mile eclipses all the time. there is nothing wrong with them.
and most other mitsus follow the same pattern. they last a long time but people are too lazy to take proper care.
