quick **** diesels
just ran across this site. there are a bunch of rednecks talking baout racing their diesels. there are some fast heavy trucks running 10's all day long. its funny to hear them talking about squeezing what they call "drugs" which is nitrous or propane injection. it reminds me of here when someone posts a good time and no one believes them. so there is a lot of smack talking redneck style!!!
I would love to see some of the 10 second diesels your friends have... Maybe in the 1/8 mile....
My brother is a long time member of the blackclouddiesel.com forums and the fastest ones there barely run 12's. There are a few exceptions of course but not likely wiht your friends.

any cummins with money spent on it can get good numbers. Those engines are superior to ours in every way, so don't doubt the numbers. Guys with big turbos routinely get 1000lb*ft and over 500 HP from their inline 6s. I have a video of a guy (that drove to the track) running 11s. He launched in 4th gear and just drive down the track-he had so much torque he never needed to shift.

We have a 2004 GMC Sierra 2500 around here with the Duramax diesel.... it runs 12.50s
My Ford F350 Powerstroke diesel ran 14.30's with less than $1000 in mods.
Im picking up my 2005 Silverado 2500 with the Duramax diesel on Thursday... let the fun begin!

Most of the those trucks, esp. the turbdiesel variety need only to be chipped to unleash huge power, same thing (but to obviously a lesser extent) w. TDI Volkswagens. At least w. the VWs, from what I can tell all it seems to do is make it run rich as hell.
