Winter beaters

Just wondering what kind of car you drive in the winter in a state that gets snow. Or if you even have a winter beater. I have an 89' Tempo. Grandpa just gave it to me free.

I used to have a 1987 Toyota 4Runner with 230,000 miles on it! Yea, thats right, 230K!!! It had a decent body, but leaked a little oil and the heater was kinda weak. I just sold it to my brother for $500 with a new set of tires on it. He pulled the tires off and sold it for $400.

Right now, I have Bridgestone Blizzak WS-15 Snow tires on my 2k1 Civic, but a buddy of mine is offering me an 85 S10, 4WD with a good working heater and new rims for like $700. I might buy it, but dunno yet.

I'd like to hear what other peoples winter beaters are too, good thread
