random thoughts on dynos

Ok I've never had a dyno done but I was just wondering... Aren't dynos setup indoors? Doesn't it get uncommonly hot in there? Do they use a fan in the front of the car? If they do, is that really as much air as is flowing past you while driving? If not, doesn't that affect power readings in a few ways? First off, wouldn't the cooling system run hotter with no air blowing by the fins on the radiator or intercooler, and what about any ram air affects or engine bay cooling? Just saying, a car sitting still in a hot garage is not running at full potential.

most dynos are in the inside and they use a fan that usually can produce almost hurricane speed winds. but their are some protable dynos i have seen them at car shows and stuff. but they use a fan to cool the engine as well.
