20,000 Rpm 2.4l V8
Heres the new Cosworth F1 engine. 20,000 RPM 2.4 liter V8. Should make around 750 bhp. Enjoy.

How much does it cost, well, i do not think you can buy one. As for actual costs, i dont know. I read an article on cosworth engines and they keep everything top secret, they would not allow them to take pics of some of the stuff. They are nearly perfect, everything is like butta. I think they only allow a certain amount of boost or something like 6 psi, in champ cars, and they put out so much horsepower, its pretty amazing, im curious whats the difference between a champ car engine and F1, nevermind just looked it up!

I know, I even said that, but they are sooo similar, it was just for the sake of conversation. In other countries champ cars are called Indy cars, but not in america, Indy is now a trademark here in the U.S. Also did you know F1 cars used to be turboed.
Last time I had this much fun some furniture got broken!

Not sure of this but I don't think alot of champ cars or F1 cars rev up that high. 18,000-19,000 is the highest ive heard of so 20,000 is a big deal and they say it can be pushed to 21,000 if needed. Not sure maybe someone can clarify.

Most are revving to 18k RPM, since they're 3L V10s right now.
For the 2006 season I think, they're changing over to the 2.4L V8 and they should rev to 20k RPM+.

Honda has said they are looking for 1000hp and 20,000 RPMs out of their 3.0l V10 for the last races of the 2005 season, kinda a last horah for the V10s.
Champ cars used to rev that hard, like 16,000+, but they raised allowable boost pressure to ~6psi, so they now only rev to 12,000. The sound of that f1 engine is unimaginable, I wish i could drive one for a day, man it would be sweet. Did you know bob sledders endure more g's that F1 car drivers?

Rumor has it that BMW is looking to drop Williams and pick up the Sauber team. That would be pretty interesting.

BAR hasn't been competitive at all. Sato has all kind of problems with his car. Button isn't doing much better, but has been somewhat impressive at the last 2 races too. At least he managed to finish them *and* score some points.Renault has come out of nowhere this year. From my opinions, they were back there with the Jordans and whatnot. They weren't too competive, inbetween Honda, Ferrari, BMW Williams and Mclaren. I'm just really impressed at that team this year. But, I still pull for Honda.
