Rep Power: 308 KA VRS SR........ the battle is over. the winner has been chosen
for a long time now KA and SR battle has been at the top of the automotive charts for most arguable...... uh ..... argument
SO!
i took it into my own hands to see wich is better...... i was not biased in any way during the competition. i treated both cars the same. 100% ragging
both cars are identicle.. highly tuned Nissan S13 coupe platforms....
ONE with a KA (now dont think this is the single cam KA.. this is infact the mightly DUAL CAM 2.4 powerhouse AND! TQ monster)
ONE with a SR (with .4 LESS i repeat LESS L of displacement... u can go ahead and consider the SR a underdog.... because remember... dusplacement is everything)
its kinda tuff to tell wich is better in the video.... because of corse there so evenly matched as many will say.
but you decide.

while the k24 makes really good torque (low and mid), the sr20 is a boost engine. It's the engine used in the jdm silvia. That thing makes silly numbers with boost. The internals on the SR20 is STRONG beyond belief.
If you get a USDM 240sx or 240se... swap the k24 out and go sr20, than boost it... watch that thing make HP like crazy, even on low boost, the sr20 is seriously no joke.

Rep Power: 0 LOL @ this thread
The proper engine codes are KA24DE and SR20DET
It is clear that an NA KA < Turbo SR
However a turbo KA >>>>>>>>>> SR
Why? Because it cost around 5 grand to swap an SR to get 185whp 167tq while with 3 grand you can turbo the KA and get minimum 250WHP and 270TQ
In other words, it’s like putting a K20 in an accord that came with a 2.4L
