Ever install a tie rod end?

I messed up my stock, so I got a new oem replacement... Now.. before I do anything, I need to ask for advice on how to get it done. Thanks.

it's cake...spray it with some bolt loosener, let it sit and go at it. The only hard part is loosening the locknut. Once you break it loose, just spin the old one off, spin the new one on.

Doesn't look like a job just an open end wrench and a vice grip couldn't do.

don't use a vice grip...use the proper size wrench, the locking bolt and the tie rod end are difference sizes, so either use 2 cresent wrenches (what i did) or just get the appropriate sized wrenches.

Leave the end connected to the control arm of the stock suspension or aftermarket suspension, and spray the locking nut area with liquick wrench or something along those lines, just not wd40 cause that doesn't penetrate, it just lubricates.

after letting it sit for a few minutes, grab your wrenches and twist them in opposite directions, the one on the lock nut going counter clock wise, and the one holding the tie rod end going clockwise. The hardest part is applying pressure cause all your **** is in the way, so becareful not you cut yourself.

If that doesn't work, then try to hold one wrench steady, and apply jolts of pressure on the other one, put ur body into it ^_^, it'll come loose eventually.

then just twist off the old, and twist on the new, and don't twist the lock nut too much when uninstalling, cause when you reinstall, u won't know how much to twist back in and your alignment will be rediculously off. Either way it'll be off, but if u don't mess with it too much, hopefully ur car will be drivable afterwards so you can take it to an alignment shop.

when i did this, i probably made every single mistake in the book, so I'm telling you so you don't make the same ones i did. good luck with it, if all fails, take it to a shop.

NOTE: stop tring to bang the tie rod end out of the control arm of your suspension with a hammer, you'll just dethread the damn tie rod end screw...use a tie rod end pusher or whatever its called...lol..unless you screwed up your tie rod end some other way, then ignore what i just said ^_^ -peace
