What should my buddy get?
Alright my buddy is trying to get a "new" car, he has narrowed it down to a few choices, and they are...
early 90's civic hatch...he would then be dropping either a B-18 type r engine or an h22 not sure...
early 60's bug, and then be dropping a 2200 cc motor with a turbo fully built.
and way out there is another choice which probably wont happen but
RX-7...!
alright guys what do you think he should do, and if you say the hatch which engine should he drop, keep in mind its gonna be daily driver.

The RX-7 would be nice but its the priciest of the group, from parts to even getting the car is to much, so that was just a whim we had for a few days, but I think he is leaning more towards the hatch, nice a sleek sleeper is what he is thinking
The RX-7 for a 5 speed in good shape you'll easily be spending 20,000 plus. You can get one that needs some work or has been heavily modified for a little cheaper. Get one that needs a new motor for 10-15K. I dunno, as much as I love the 7 that's alot of cash for a 13 year old car. My dad paid 40+ thousand for his brand new back in 1994.
Thank the fast and freaking gay furious for these prices on the RX-7 and Supra. Equally as track worthy car from the same time period and costed similar brand new is the 300ZX turbo. IMHO it's a better buy and can be had for so much cheaper. Seen em around here in good shape for around 10,000-12,000.
BTW tell him not to buy anything FWD...once you go RWD you'll never go back...AWD is another story...

Everything ya need to know should be there.
get a hatch either with a:
1) built 2.0 b18cr all motor
2) built b18c turbo
h22 are just too heavy for the hatch...id personally would go with #1 for a daily driver...my .02 cents
