OK this is for my girlfriend. All she wants is a 4 door, 5speed, a/c, and cruise. What would you recommend? Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, Mazda Protege, or Nissian Sentra. Price range is anything below $10,000 CDN and no older than 1998. For that price we're looking from 1998-2001 cars. We did find a Sentra SE with 120,000KM for $9750CDN, decent condition (test drove it, man i love the torque) but i dunno the mileage seems high although for that price i guess that's what you get.

Well for that price range, you're not going to get any of the Proteges or sentras worth having...

Check into the civics for those years and price range. The 99-00 Si is probably right there if you can talk her into a 2 door...

I loved my old protege...much like the civic though...slow as hell and fantastic on mpg and its four door.
