If I remember right, the cops and ambulances and other emergency vehicles are only allowed to go 25 over the speed limit, at least in Ohio. 25 over the speed limit is considered to be reckless driving, so they are not allowed to do that.

I don't mind cops, accept for the one that when a guy hit me, the cop told my dad, that I was the young driver with the record (I had a few accidents at that time), there for I was at fault. The dumba$$ never even looked at the scene of the accident, just wrote me a ticket.

I did see a state patrol pull over a small town cop once.

Everyone of those chases had lights and sirens going. I really hope you dont think all those deaths are justified since less than 10% of all police chases deal with murders and other dangerous criminals.

NeonImpact, what car do you drive when on duty? I myself like the Marauders...but don't know how they perform...I heard they are very fast though.

Regarding cops and what they do on the street....hmmm, I don't know about where you guys live and I don't mean to give a bad rep to the police, but down here in Miami, out of 10, 5 drive crazier than a 16 year old kid on a Ferrari. I've seen many of them at intersections, turning on their sirens and simply taking a red light for no particular reason...after they've passed it, they simply drive off like nothing's happened.
I hate it when they stop you and ask: How fast do you think you were going son?? and you are like damn! do I tell him the truth or just kinda play it in? Obviously, this is a tricky question to see whether you are lying or not...but from my own personal experience, being honest & relaxed is the best way to go with them.

one time i was in the fast lane doing 80mph then i see this black camaro speeding up behind me so i sped up to about 85 and he already coming up on my *** and then all of a sudden he flashes sirens and im thinkin "**** a speeding ticket" so i pull over and it turns out it was a cop car and he just speeds by and gives me a weird/dirty look...wtf?! couldnt he have just gone around me or sumin without scaring the **** out of me fvckin pig...thats why san diego is in a financial crisis cuz the police is too busy spending their budget on camaros

Cops lead my example, if a cop is beside me, and hes driving 80km/h on a 60 zone, i'll keep up with him. They dont do anything haha as long as I dont pass them. One time tho, they just sirened and sped up. (grr...)

Two Z06 vettes, Caddy's, one even drives a supercharged Accord, I saw that thing an was like WTF?

The worst is the one that drives a Dodge Ram, I never see him becuase I just don't look that high for the light bars.

yeah cops around me drive everything....hooked up eclipse (they took from a dealer i used to know), Tundra's, F150s everything. State troopers got some vettes and camaros. Mostly the cops get them when they impound your car and you dont get it back. Or you leave it in the impound lot for to long its legally the states then which usally will go to a auto auction. They got a PT cruiser i saw the other day but i think it was more of a school/show kinda car.

thats police chases, as in cops in pursuit of a criminal, and its usually the criminals wreckless driving that causes the accident. if you run from the cops, guess what, theyll chase you, except in LA. not all deaths are justified, of course not. not one of them is justified.

cops often drive through traffic lights ONLY USING THEIR STROBES. WTF?!?! WHat if someone doesn't see the strobes and they crash each other? ATLEAST USE YOUR FUkin Sirens JEEEZALOO!!!

noone may be looking for cops coming through lights every single time, but if you hear a siren, get the f*** out of the way. it is your fault if you arent paying attention to your surroundings. what i hate is when an *** is driving and a cop with his lights and sirens on come up behind him to get past and hes not paying attention....everyone else on the road moved over, but this one car has not. this is in instances in heavy traffic or when the cop is in the left lane of the highway, not where the he/she has room to go around the dumb car.

first time, xam, my friend, and i were driving in some open twistys and we were going 15mph over the speed limit. $100 ticket each.
second time, my yellow headlights blinded the cop on the freeway so he pulled me over. fix it ticket for headlights, and front windows tinted, and hassled about the Injen intake i installed THAT day!

BY THE WAY. if anyone was wondering, yellow headlights are ILLEGAL (at least in cali). you need a white light to project out of your headlights and it needs to go a certain amount of distance. yellow fogs are completly legal though. just FYI..

third time, for the headlights again. he looked at the ticket and let me go. it was funny though because it was on the same road as the second pull over and only 5 mins after.

What I hate, is the people who freeze up when the see lights or hear sirens, and they just slow down and almost stop. Like on a 4 lane road, *2 lanes going both directions, and they are in the left lane, and for some reason, they think that they cant pull over because the shoulder is a whole whopping lane away, so they just stop in the middle of hte street making the cop go around them. I dont understand what they are thinking, and the cops get irritated also, they use that horn, i dont know wht you call it, but its like a horn coming out of the siren speaker. Anyways, people need to learn to drive before driving. I have so much road rage built up inside because of dumbass drivers that should not be driving. I should start a road rage thread...i might just do that.
