Rep Power: 0 hahahaha o man im in high school n i work part time as a telemarketer too....it's the worst job...if they didnt pay me $9.50 an hour i would quit instantly....been workin there 7months....havnet gone insane yet so thats a good sign

Rep Power: 0 God..... telemarketing is the worst job ever. I use to get 10 bucks an hour as one. I use to call people's house and ask them to take surveys hahahahha. I mostly got no Thanks and dial tones. But one time i got "Hey it's flucking 9 oclock at night, don't you people know it's to damn late to be calling!" hahhahah... sorry corny story but i had to tell.......

In my old apartment I used to get several TM calls in any given day. Eventually I got fed up enough to actually be rather mouthy to the poor souls.
One particular time, I was asked if i was interested in Long Distance Savings... I informed the kind fellow that I wasn't but he kept nattering his script off to me anyways. So i said...
"Fine, what would it cost to call...."
This went on several times, I asked him about places such as Germany, Australia, etc etc.
Then came the "bomb" question...
"So what woud it take for me to have a 1 hour conference call between Germany, Australia, Singapore, Mexico, Florida, Ontario, Alberta, and Turkey?"
The fellow informed me that would take several minutes to calculate and I said cheerfully "I'll wait!"... So I listen, for TEN MINUTES to him punching away on a calculator and muttering numbers to himself. FINALLY, he said, "Okay Sir?", "Yes?", "Alright, that particular call would cost y~~" "HEY MAN SIMPSONS IS ON GOTTA GO <click>"
i laughed my head off for about a half hour. Who'd have known telemarketers could be so enjoyable.
