Why do people do this???
Build cars like this one, keep them for a short period of time and then try and sell them.
K20a2 Turbo in an EG......
He said he needs to move on with life, cars are cars. Get from point A to point B.
Maybe be just got arrested and lost his license, LOL.
Here is the ebay auction:auction
For a starting bid of 12 grand **** I would jump on it if I had the dough

Frequently it is because people put an a$$load of money and work into a project only to find out it is not as fast/cool/reliable/whatever as they had hoped and they get burned out.
Maybe the dude did all the work himself and saved a ton of money on labor.... now he is selling it for more then the car cost him to make it. Makes up an excuse that he needs to move on..... sells the car and pockets like $4-5gs

IMO if I was the type of person to steal something, especially a car, I most definately would not put it somewhere anybody with internet access could see it....just doesn't make sense from the theif point of view.....probably just a car enthusiast that is moving on to another project.....or a shop's project and they just need to get it out of the way.
well, if hes anytihng like my buddy, he might jsut love working on them. my firend has went through 3 civics this past yr. swapped 2 engines and turboed all of them. he loves working on them, tuning them and then racing them for a little bit. then he sells them and moves on...
i for on cant do that because i put more than just time and money into the cars. so selling the car is like loosing a gf in a weird kind of way....

That's crazy I'll never understand why people do that. For all the hundreds of hours and $$ I spent on mine, it's staying with me a long time.

maybe it's because at the end, it's still a civic, and a fwd car. it maybe very fast, but he sacraficed the interior for it, and most likely a/c among other things.
i see more and more honda guys jump on the wrx/evo and the 240/silvia bandwagon, my friend sold both of his crx and the teg for a wrx and a 1g gsx
