Alright here's what it comes down to...
The top three choices so far:
Acura RSX Type-S
Mazda RX-8
WRX STI
Now here's the situation;
RSX Type-S: $23,000
The price is good and still leaves alot of money left over for mods plus it's a really nice car. Has great potential.
Mazda RX-8: $24,000
Nice car, fast for a 1.3 but i've heard bad things about the engine. Also leaves money for mods.
WRX STI: $33,000
Very nice car but goes over limit and according to dealer will have a high insurance rate. But fast as hell.
Now the STI is great but goes over limit and insurance is gonna be expensive. The RSX is nice doesn't go over and leaves money for mods. The RX-8 is nice leaves money for mods but not sure about the whole rotor engine thing. So what do you guys think keeping all this in mind? I personally am leaning towards the RSX cause w/ the left over money many things can be done

YO dealership always take a deal when you are throwin in cash.
Tell them an unreasonably low price you'd take it for.
Then they'd say NO.
Then tell them, well come on, I have...26,000 here in cash. (but u really have 30,000)
Then magic happens.
My opinion, wit 30,000....either an STI or an Integra Type R

The KBB value for a 2003 with 30,000 miles is around 26,000. Look at the possibilities...

He said fast car. Hype-R dont qualify.
Well first of all they don't sell the freakin Type-R in the USA, and second of all it's FWD. If I had 30 grand fwd would be the last thing I'd consider.
Well you know what my pick would be for 30 grand. Might I also suggest an S2K?

a simple is300 would do elegantly for a daily driver and it has a power plant to go 400rwhp later
the lancer evolution rs would be a cheap turbo awd car to also consider, definitly not as smooth as a straight 6 though
the bmw 325is starts at 29k
will said. like jeremey clarkson said "fwd is the devil"

Warn your friend that any transaction over ten thousand dollars will be seen by / or reported to / the government. Whereas three payments of nine thousand and change will be seen by no one.

Paying in cash helps when negotiating the price. Try to go for the lowest price possible then when they try to give you high financing tell them you'd pay cash.
