like stated earlier all you guys are all about these evo's and sti's. when an A4 of for gods sake if you can find an S4 those cars are beautiful! A new A4 goes for around that price with a 2.0 engine in it. A used S4 with low miles is an unbelieveable car.

This is what you have to do in the negotiating if you have cash. You never tell them you are going to pay cash. You always tell them that you have "ok" credit and that you are going to put some down and finanace the rest. Act like an idiot so that they can feel like they are fooling you into a real high APR. Dealerships always want you to finance so that they can make money off your financing. Youll notice youll get a real good deal when you say you are going to finance. Soooo when you go into to fill out paperwork and work out the price lead them to beleive that you are financing on the car. SAY THESE WORDS "CAN I DO 72 MONTH FINANCING" meaning the APR will be higher.. They will say sure.. Let them run your credit and all of that. Then when you neotiate a price say you know what "I am just going to pay cash" whip out your wadd and watch them squirm with the loss they just took! good luck....

No downpayments just flat pay off. New or Slightly used doesn't really matter. Right now he' considering the STI, Evo, TSX, 03' Cobra, IS 300 (used under $30,00), and i've got him think about buying a Civic and just modding the hell out of it. Insurance is another thing he's got to consider to so nothing too extreme. I didn't think about the A4......I heard they have a lot of problems?

If hes looking at the cobra tell him to get the 05 GTO its built in australia has 400hp and 395tq fits 4 adults very comfortably and never losses its power and is real fun to drive...heres a link......I have an 04 fit 4 adults and still hit 60mph in under 6 seconds

If he's gonna go American he's gonna get a Mustang. We both have mustangs His is a 91' 5.0 HO and mines is a 67' HP coupe, mines is a weekend car but we both prefer mustangs over camaro, gto, etc. But mustangs as we all know are more for weekends and taking out camaros.

For 30k id go with either a used 03+ Cobra or an STi. Both bring a world of hurt with the aftermarket support they have.

A bit quicker than the RX-8 but still overpriced. The DC5R does a 14.2 in the quarter. I agree with you, though. Not worth it unless you are losing sleep over not having it and still manage to make a pretty penny. The car itself is 23k in US dollars. Bringing the body/chassis over seperate from the engine (you can't bring a car with an engine in it through customs), among other things is almost as much as the car. Only a few people have done it within the past few years. I guess if you've got the budget of an M3 or a Corvette and still want FWD at its best... there you go.

rx-8 IMO has slow pick up, slammin on the gas it feels sluggish.
and IMO i think its ugly, it makes the phrase pop in my head

just my opinion, 2 doors dont do it for me its got to be 4 so for 30g i would buy the EVO i drove the STI and it was great but ive seen brand new EVOs going for 26g and that still would give you 4g to mess with

I was given a total of $64,200 to go to school (2 years of it at that!) And Im only a disabled vet. Not including grants which was 1350/quarter. So that adss to $10,800 then add that to the money the gov't gave me gives me a grand total of $75,000 plus my monthly disability check. Just because you got paid to go to school, doesnt mean your gods gift!

btw nookiemonster, u have some good points on the rx-8, i looked some info/specs up on it and i respect the car much more than before. based on the time when i drove my friends rx-8, it did not perform to my expectations thats all.
