When a built 2 Liter B series motor was pitted against a built 2 liter K series motor. The K series won. So when matched in displacement the K series still out preforms the B.

n/a cars relies on vaccum of the cylinders to suck in needed oxygen for combustion, that's why n/a cars relies on headwork, smooth flow on everything in the intake, exhaust, valves, cams, etc...
in contrast, turbo cars have their oxygen forced into the cylinder, thus they don't need as much head work at first, instead, they must focus on fuel, cooling the charged air, and exhaust flow
i'd say 7hp gain on an n/a isn't bad at the peak
