i know this is a waaaaat old thread
but i didn't wanna start a new one and have guys yell at me for older threads so here we are

i just got offered a possibility of a sponsor
and all i have is lambo doors on my car

i dunno
what should i do
they said that they can do like 10 or 11K worth of mods on my car
cause the guy is a new company and is looking for a freash car to work on

what should i do?
I mean HIN is coming up in san diego soon....
it would be nice to be all pimped out

that is not sport compact the mag. its a nockoff company called sport compact pro. trust me when i say its a huge scam. basicly all you get out off the deal its parts at around cost. i say around because sometimes its not even that much. ive been doing this a long time guys, trust me when i say that if you want to get sponsored go to every show you can possibly make it to and go direct to the company. dont go to those guys. yeah but this company that i talked to isn't anything like that
they are a newcompany new where i live and they wanna get their name out there
just some race shop, and they wanna built up the car, slap heir logo on it and lemme drive

It is not that simple. Why would they want to put 11k into a almost stock car. And just let you drive it.

well if someone is opening a shop i think getting someone elses car and doing tons to it and making go to tons of shows is profitable. but its gotta be pretty outrageous to get attention and you couldnt drive it all the time you would ruin it

i paid the fee and got the contract.
You have to enter at least 4 car shows a year and if you don't they will charge you or sumtin after you buy parts from them.
My contract is just sittin in my room. I still don't know if i should go through with it.

You already know how they operate. You paid them money and all you got was a list of things you have to do or you will get charged even more.

The only sponsorship I see is you sponsoring them.

thats all good but you have to think of it this way. to get there name out there and to get alot of buisness you have to have an edge. you have to go real drastic with the design or else you are just another shop. its sounds good but i will really think about it. like i said all my sponsors came on board after i had already put about 20 grand worth of mods into my civic.

yeahand you gotta pay 79 dollars for them to send you the app. SPort compact pro i got the same **** then they give you 15 or so percent off parts which are marked up anyways. Its a scam i still have the app sittin on my desk at home
