twin turbo ls1 in an s10
this is a guys truck over on another forum i am an avid member of. his previous set up went 10's on nitrous and has since done a complete rebuild for twin turbos. this truck is still pretty much stock body and suspension and is expected to run 9's when finished. it really is beautiful! hope you enjoy

or is it an LS1 long block with new manifold to make is carbed? cause ive never seen that before.

its actually a vortech 350 truck block. but there isnt much difference in that block and the ls1. the heads and fuel injection and valve train really make the ls1 what it is. this motor was built specifically to run twins with a blow through carb set up. using fuel injection with this kind of set up would have been serious $$$$$$. the guy that is building it actually shares the truck with his gramps. the truck ran 10's before this setup with nitrous and fuel injection. but he decided to do the twins and a blow through carb and this was the most cost effective route. so yes you are right it is not an actual ls1 long block its a lt4 block with edelbrock performer heads a nice FI cam. i should have stated that in the title because i know there are a few guys on here that do know their shizz and i should have known it would be pointed out. but the ls1 actually derived from the lt motors. this one is a bit more stout than any lt and has attributes of an ls1 because of the valve train and head flow. this is his truck that he daily drives
