ive seen pics of the civic type r in japan having an in dash monitor so i figure im going to remove my stock radio and the lil cubby thing under and place a monitor there..(not a fold out it will be installed like a mercedes navigation screen or sumthin) and then i will remove the cig lighter down the bottom and put a cd player there and a dvd player in the glovebox ....any suggestions on what monitor to get because ive searched and searched and i only see seperate screens with all sorts of buttons on the side and ALOT of plastic around it which will make me have to put a smaller screen sixe in

those are pretty nice thanks ... i like the idea of hooking up the computer the have for in cars now....

grab a touch screen off ebay for like 350, and then get an all in one player for the glovebox.....that was my intial idea....simply b/c when the car is closed and someone is looking in they will see the screen but no cd player....confusing....i think yes.....u can also get one that has an optical eye and move it to where the cig thing is and then control the player with the remote even when the glovebox is closed. Just an idea! as for the placement of the screen how u gonna do it? Fiber-glass in or what?

i want to do this sooo bad but it is a pricey mod

if i hadn't gotten my pioneer avic-n1, i wouldve gotten this:



once installed, it just looks like a screen, but once its turned on, the face motors down to reveal the cd/dvd player.

^^ I either want that one (I currently have an eXcelon deck) or the one just like it by Eclipse.. I don't remember the model number though? But yes, definitely looks great to me.
