ok, i think we already covered this issue, but im still a little bothered by it. maybe im over-reacting, but why do people come to 2k1civic.com and register as 2k1civic owners if they dont even have a 7thgen civic?!?!?! i mean, come on....theres plenty of other websites out there for 6thgen civics. ATTN: DLG. im not tryin to hate on you, but your 99 or 00 Black EX belongs in a different category. try posing at CLUBSi.com or something.

now obviously if they come just to start things or what not, then thats not welcomed.. but if they're just here to exchange ideas, information, or what not... which is what any message board is for, its all fine and dandy with me.

I dont think anyone really registered and claim they own a 2k1 civic though.. not sure. thats a bit stupid.

last time I checked this board was for anyone...NOT JUST 7TH GEN OWNERS. I didnt see anything on a rules page about having to own a 7th gen Civic. Also on members rides ppl complaining about cars in there that are not 7th gens, there is no rule saying about just 7th gens, just that you have to have member status to post. Don't get your panties into a bundle. Ppl wonder why every other board is better than this one? Its because other boards can take constructive critcism from its members with ALL types of cars whether it be a FORD, HONDA, whatever.

I have to agree. I have seen more flames on plenty of other sites in my day. ANd you know what? One thing is constructive criticism, and another thing is just bashing and being a nuissance. There's a difference between the two. I think the moderators should just take not of what's going on and eliminate those that are simply creating dirsuptions. Really people. I think thi sentire thread is pointless. Last time I checked, eveyrone is wlecomed here. The only one that really has any say in who's welcome here or not is Derek. He's the one the put the effort and $$$ into this site.

Unlike other sites.. we don't like *pointless* flame/bashing of any kind... whether it's towards Civics or any other brand of cars. It's one thing to criticize, but "X sucks" without saying much more isn't a useful discussion.

Most of us joined this site to get more information about 2k1+ Civics; we like to find out the good AND the bad. Fair and constructive comparisons with other compact cars are welcome.
