What the hell is a Civic RS??
The Civic RS in Japan is actually no longer being produced.... at least in this current model year. Now about why people would put a RS Grill on the American Civics... In Japan, we don't have DX,LX,EX, ect... we've got X,X4(All Wheel Drive!), C, andC4. The RS used to be there but no more... But when it was, it was the Japanese EX in a nut shell. Only it had what Honda America calls a "Factory Performance" upgrade with the grill, side skirts, lower lip wheels and maybe something else. So by saying that an RS Grill is like putting a Type-R sticker on your car, you would be very wrong. Oh and yeah, I do have a RS Grill.
Vic's almost done... thats sorta depressing...

No offence, but road sailing doesn't make much sense for a car which has sporting intentions. Otherwise they'd be badging Buicks and Oldsmobiles "RS" left and right.

oh and,
you can get an rs grille, and not put the rs emblem on. it comes as a seperate metal sticker thing. BUT there is a plastic flat part that has the RS outline on it where you are supposed to put the sticker. it looks kinda strange being empty. putting an EX or LX emblem on it would also look odd because of the RS outline.
PS the emlbem is crap. it turns pink after about 7 months.

Re: What the hell is a Civic RS??
The letters „RS“ have nothing to with Road Sailing.
They were adopted or copied from the German term of “Renn Sport” and identify a vehicle which is a racing car, from the early days of car racing.
Porsches and Mercedes were the first cars that carried those Letters.
