shifting
shifting
does shifting at a high rpm wear down a clutch faster. three of my friends have shattered their clutches and i dont want to burn mine out. i dont know i may just be paranoid but any info would help. thanx.
Not unless you ride your clutch on the friction point often, at which point any RPM will wear it out. Hard launches aka clutch dumps are also very hard. Just learn to drive properly and you'll be fine.
No, the wearing is the same than shifting at lower RPMs, what wears most the clutch plate is shifting 1st reving up the car (when launching), or leaving the clutch half way for too much time when declutching (on any shift) while accelerating.
hahahaha shattered their clutches? ... either they had some $100 ebay clutch or they have like 500 hp
oh yes, and do NOT rest your foot on the clutch when you drive ... one member at clubrsx did that and wore out his stock clutch in 10k miles
