cars that come tinted

something got me curious... why do most minivans, suvs, and/or trucks come tinted from the lot? i know most coupes/sedans/hatchbacks/etc those compact cars dont come tinted. what gives?

kid?? dont wanna get sunlight on the kids, most are used for travling and to carry alot of people so im thinking thats why, i know ill get pulle dover if i have anything under 75% which is beat, but hey thats PA for yea

you will also notice on most of those mini vans that the drivers side and passenger windows arnt tinted at all. The back is I suppose a privacy thing, so kids can give funny faces to other drivers without them being able to see.

oh and for the purpose of the almighty ******* wagon

i know the front windows dont come tinted since its illegal in most states.

wonder why they dont have compact cars come tinted =\

what if civics came with the 3 back windows say.. 20% and you wanted to do limo all around, wouldnt it be an inconvience to strip off the 20% and then put limo on ? i dont know

It's fairly easy to remove a tint if u have the proper remover solvents. I had a tint specialist remove the cheap bubble tint on my CRX. All they did was spray on some solvents and the tint started cracking off, then I think they used a razorblaze to scrape off the excess tint. It was done in about 30 mins or so?

you can't remove factory tint because it is not a film, the glass is color dyed from the factory(i think), and it wont fade over time like a film would. If you want limo tint, just tint over it, like regular glass.

Yes, I know what I'm talking about, my neighbor have sight problems and took her car to dealership because she had problems to see the road and they replaced all the windshields at no cost.

That was just two days after buiyng the car (2004 Nissan Sentra).

Once again, SUV, pickup, minivan come tinted from the FACTORY. The tint is dyed on so that 20 years from now the tint wont change to purple color and a kid in the back can rub on the window all day long with his fingers and the glass wont scratch up. PT Cruiser and Dodge Magnum gets tinted windows because they are classified as a truck.

here in texas, trucks, suvs, vans etc can have all the windows except the windshield and front windows tinted as dark as you freakin want, but on cars, theres a limit on all the windows except the back window...

I love it in texas... the front can't be any more thatn 25% but the rest can be 5% or even 2% but some cars still come half tinted half not. I beleive because of the regulations.

I dont know what you are all talking about, but my car came with tint, with 18 miles on it from the dealer (Bell Honda). Civics DO COME WITH tint, if you get one with it on it already, just look for one, mine is an LX by the way.

i just got a new truck- the back is like 20% or lower (dark as ****) and there is nothing on the fronts... i plan on tinting them to match. we have no tint law in ga right now.

my ex came with everything tinted except the front. wasn't a serious tint, not sure what percent, they kept calling it 'smoke tint'. i like it though.
