Injen SRI vs. K&N FIPK II Pics/Comparison
Hey guys, could u help me out by deciding which intake doesn't make u lose hp? Please post under-the-hood pics of both (if u can), and give a brief review of each thx...

Fipk doesn't lose low end and actually gains some highend power. Only loss is a few hp from 3.5-4.5k rpms. Most metal intakes will get hot faster and cause bad performance. The K&N is plastic and has a heat shield around it. It's the best design imo. Only thing is the K&N filter isn't good. But you can always swap it for a better one. S&B makes higher quality filters that flow better anyway.

Not much. I think they gained 2hp instead of 1hp from AEM. But the metal pipe is still gonna get hot under there. Hot air is less dense and bad for performance. The K&N made 5whp peak at 6200rpms. Low end stayed the same, or maybe increased slightly. I had one but sold it after finding out alot about the crappy filter. May get it again and use the new S&B filter.
its nearly impossible to gain low end with an intake for us 7thgens. you should consider exhaust related products to gain more low end.
i know apexi world sport exhausts give you more low-mid end power along with some headers..

the Injen SRI will be a bad pick. (it sucks. I can give u detail, but u can trust me. lol)
itll rob ur low end, so dont go there.
like they all said, keep car stock if u want low end.. for mid range and high end.. there's more you can do.. but then again, those bolt ons dont do much there anyway.

honestly there really is no way to get low end from an intake. get the FIPK because its much better than injen and aem and tighten your throttle cable and then you will have better power all across the rpm range.
