I am muchos wanting HIDs!!! lol. I like the lowbeam = HID, HighBeam = Halogen (keeps the costs down). Keep in mind a lot of cars are like that. My dad's 3.2TL is like that...
So, Telly, do you think you could hook me up with a set? Send me a PM if you can. Also, how much do replacement blubs cost? Just wondering how available they'd be... I'd probably grab at least 1 replacement (or order it) ASAP, since you can't walk into crappy tire and get 'em!
Thanks dude!

Hey dude, I have no clue how much replacement bulbs cost for the HID portion (low beam) but you can get replacement Brightstar ones at Pacific Mall and several other ricey shops. As for replacement halogen (high beam) bulbs - the box comes with an extra set.
I have the guy's number in my car, I'll pm it to you when I get in there to finish my trunk today.

Borrowing from Blkcivic's photo album - there is one head-on shot of Telly's lights on (weak picture of a HID imo, but better than nothing

Hey sedanboy, pm me tonight.
tcneo, the high beams are tiny little halogen bulbs that are actually off to the side of the same H4 base assembly. Being offset from centre, it's not exactly ideal, but again you get what you pay for. Frankly I just wanted working DRL's - never gonna need to use high beams at night what with the beam pattern of the HID's, LOL.
Here's a pic of where the high beam bulbs are located:

Yes Shazz-wazza, your HID's are likely better than mine.
But is YOUR trunk scary and glowing red with a MODIFIED BY TELLY sticker on it?

I dunno, there was some guy here a couple years back with that name, but he went insane. I think he drives around pickin up bag ladies and dropping them off in other cities.
