if you think bout it..its slow but not toooo slow... my friend has a supercharged mercedez compressor and its only suppose to hit a 7.6 0-60 which means he probably wont meet that standard..but then again that cars a piece of shiat..

yeah actually our cars are not that bad haha what i said was a huge generalization (well maybe not HUGE...)

1.7 liter inline-4 with a high 8second 0-60MPH compared to a Mercedes C240 sedan 2.6 liter V6 with a 8.7 0-60MPH. our cars actually ARENT that bad hahaha cause we are light.

on the honda site, we're rated at a 10 sec 0-60, i've pulled a high 8 also once, but i'm sure that's all inaccurate since we use our eyes, and a watch..lol...maybe try with a laser, and we'll end up running 10's >_<

the 1.8liter 4 cylinder kompressor isn't exactly a hardcore engine, supercharged or not... its a heavy car so 7.6 isn' too bad. nor is the 2.6 comfortable V6 in the 260.. thats meant as a softer ride..

the 3.2 v6 is not bad.. and dont even think about poking fun at the amg v6 and v8s

in either case our 0-60 is 8 to 9 sec. could be 8 sec flat, or even high 7 if you have the right load and tires and launch. this is the ex 5spd btw. the others with longer gear ratios will have problems.

still no power throughout the powerband, and still no power unless we unleash the mad bees in the high rpms..

if we could run 8's consistantly that wouldnt be too bad. my friend has a 04 WRX and he's been hitting 7.3's... he keeps trying and trying..but all we get is a 7.3

unless he revs to about 7 grand and drops the clutch he'll never get there. Thats the bad thing about magazines, they ABUSE those cars to get those numbers. Ever see what the EVO and the WRX run from a rolling start (~5mph)? It aint so great. Highly boosted small engines may be fun, but they are not MEANT (didn''t say could not be) to be drag racers. THats the bad thing about Supras. Supras are beautiful track cars, but people keep running them at the strip. (Don't flame, I love supras) THe sad thing is a 1000 WHP Supra runs low 10s high 9s. A 1000 WHP Vette runs 8s (check out the lingenfelter site), That thing runs 8s because its a 7L motor and had torque for days, not just from 7-9K RPM.
