yup, its his hand, when you freeze it right when he grabs his left arm with his rigth hand you can see the green of the other bike where his hand should be and a flat surface on his arm. and unless a piston/rod have fingers then yeah...

His hands still attatched. I went frame by frame and twards the end you can see his hand on his arm when he goes to fall on the ground.

I just went through it by millisecond at 400% zoom. It doesn't look like his hand to me. If you actually watch it slow enough, you can see that the explosion caused a part a peice of the bike by his hand to blow off in the process (aside from the cover that blew up), and I think that's what went flying. Because after it blew and the part went flying, his hand was still on the handle bar, and you can tell that a peice blew off by the handle bar because of the decal that was there. Also, like someone else said, when he gets off his bike, you can see that he still has his glove on when it passes over the while part.
That's just me though.
The part is flying, and his arm is still posed like he's got a grip:

good job boosted2k2, i think youre right, i couldnt get an image of the freeze frame like u did. it like stunned him pretty bad and probly hurt like hell even if the piston just grazed him. hes freekin out so he grabs his hand thanking god that its still connected to his body.

I thought I saw a flying glove, but I only watched it once before forwarding it to colleagues of mine who have much sicker minds...wait 3 days and I'll get an email back claiming that it may have been his **** that went flying off,

It looks like his hand but is definatly a piece of the bike. I had to enhance the vidoe to cathc it but the last 5 frames as he hit ths ground you can seen the glove with fingers attached. But that must of hurt like hell and scared him really bad too.

yeah, if you go a few frames ahead of what boosted2k2 has you can actually see the white trim of his glove against the black on his torso. seems like all the fingers are still there.

maybe i'm just a sick, twisted son of a bitch, but i didn't even say "wow" when i watched it. lol. i guess all those years of watching "Faces Of Death" kinda made me immune to this stuff. either way, it had to suck.. hand or part of the bike. i'd say it'd hurt more if it just hit his hand, if it knocked it off, it'd be numb.. until the next day. i work with lots of guys who have had fingers ripped off working here, they say it doesn't hurt a bit at the time.

It's amazing to think we all watched the same video and extracted different results from it.
