What's the quietest car you've been on?
I'm looking to get a new car, because the road noise on the highway is really pissing me off. I know it sounds dumb, but it's enough for me to consider buying a new car.
How is the TSX or RSX compared to the Civic?
Thanks for any input.

I have an RSX, had a 01 Civic EX, and seriously there is little or no difference in road noise, I've driven a TSX as a loaner and it was better since its a "family" car but not great, my uncle has a TL and you can't hear any noise in that thing.

I agree Lexus hands down .. in fact as soon as I get home from iraq I am going to get myself a IS 300 and make it a sleeper
I think most of the Lexus' I've been in have been very quiet.
Road noise in our Civics?
My mom's Jeep rides more silently than my Civic!!! =(
The quietest car I've ever driven was an 2002 Benz E55. I don't think I'll ever ride anything that can top that. When you close the door you hear a menacing "thump" (compared to our Civic's "clink") that make you feel like your completely sealed off from the outside world.
The only noise you hear (and should hear) is the supercharger whining and the only thing you should feel is your third leg growing from the excitement.

well, if were talking about road noise, my dads bmw is pretty quiet. but if were talking about noise overall, then the bmw isnt the best bet. you can hear the engine pretty well in the car. i love it, but thats just me.
mercedes has a pretty quiet ride also. german taxis are awesome!!! also, lincoln town car is still probably the quietest car ive been in. dont know if limos have special insulation, but those things are like little sound coocoons.

I'm sure you know this, but road noise is due in large part to your choice of tires. Mind you, not entirely obviously but tire choice makes a difference. That being said, Lexus.
