Trading for SI?
Nah, it won't come loaded. It hardly comes with ****. They have these 3 dumb packages that are about $600, $800, and $1,100 more than the sticker price. And the third package is the one that comes with the 6 speed gearbox, racing pedals, sunroof and leather seats. The other two lower packages are a waste of money. Trust me, I looked at them before I got my 7th Gen.
If you want to go for something non Honda but still in that $20,000 price range, shoot for the Spec V or the Mazdaspeed Protege.

Ok MORG655 if you dont give a "****" about the power of your car then trade in your civic buy a KIA and put some rims on it maybe a plasma tv. Put in a CAI and an axleback exhaust and call it PIMP.

^^ I guess I should add something so my post makes more sense. I personally don't like the Si as much as I like the RSX, so for the same price I would rather get the RSX coupe. With that said, I'd rather you skip the Si or get a coupe, so stay with your coupe. That's my reccomendation.

Well, those are current prices... but I'd still go for the RSX coupe over the Si or keep the Civic coupe.
Can you really get one for $16k now? bwahahaha... I was under the impression it was still going for more than that.

Once again let's refer back to the original point of my post. The point was to ask the opinion about trading in my Coupe for an SI. Nothing to do with power, nothing to do with Hyundai, nothing to do with Kia, nothing to do with "Pimping".

If you dont care about looks, then the mini-van SI is for you! HEH. I'm sure lots of peeps here feel the same way. I never did like the looks.
Also, I dont like the shifter on the dash. I call it the **** SHIFT. Other than that, the SI has a nice interior and a stronger engine.
So if you really dont care about looks or a **** SHIFT then go for it, but the coupe looks 100% better than the SI. EVEN the 4 door looks better than the SI.
Now if they made the SI like they did with the 2000 SI, then we would have a pimp lookin SI because it would look like our coupes. MAN, that's something to drool over. Dreams are always good...

OK This morning on my way to work thier is some kid with an RSX plain with a K20a3 engine same as an SI. OK. He keeps wanting to race me. All i have are AEM power pulleys. His is stock as far as I know. We pull up to the light take a look, no cops. Light turns Green I jump from him and then it was over. He didnt catch back up to me until we hit fourth gear and by then its all over. My D17a2 with pulley's beat a k20a3. They are slow. Not worth it. No more questions about the SI. Keep the EX its faster. I just squashed that Q.
Find an RSX nearest you and race it. "but make sure its not a Type-S"

the only way you beat the that rsx is if was an auto and your a good driver. Otherwise
If I had it on tape I would post it. He has an RSX base model 5 speed with a K20a3 motor. And he got beat simple as that. Dont matter if he or I can drive or not losing is losing.
Always nice when your car is rated lower than the other.
If I see him at the track I will race him and definitly get it on tape then post it and prove your *** wrong.

Si's dont suck......if i cath n e of you out on the street i guarantee u i will destroy u.....Well i juss have an si shell at least....what you need to do is keep your ex...and then save money and get u a b18c5 swap spoon engine if u can and drive...
I said AEM power pullies hero.
And I didnt even start the race. I am waiting for my intake, header, and header back exhaust to get in before i started running it.
He lined up next to me and started the whole lets rev my engine and he got plain ol simple spanked by a civic.
I sold my old **** to try and trade it in so i had to re-order.

I beat my friend's Si when we were both stock. Call him a bad driver, but that is what happened. With the mods that I have right now I have raced a K20A3 RSX with a Injen intake and I beat him by about 2 1/2 cars. And those are like 100 pounds lighter than the Si.

The only reasons for buying the EP3 are: 1.) if you like the styling. 2.) you have something slower than the 7th Gen EX/LX/DX 3.) You don't care about "Pimpin"
It has been proven that the 7th Gen Si is not all what it is cracked up to be. Non Si 7th Gens are beating the Si with simple bolt ons so once again... PLEASE KEEP YOUR EX.
