what's the highest mileage honda you've seen
most any car can last a long time. It's just up to the owner whether he wants to keep it for that long. If you beat your car on a regular basis, dont expect it to last.
a family friend's 80s accord has something like 600k on it. And one of the city vehicles when I used to work at city hall actually went over (into the million i think; it has been retired)

Read again, 5 people. My uncle gave it to someone else in the family & got it back before he gave it to the other guy. The "dude" was a big retard & tore it up, the other four family members just drove it hard & yes a couple, mostly my brother though, did dumbass things with it.

That is a crock - there are plenty of 100,000+ miles cars out there from all makes. One hundred thousand miles is not a big deal for any modern vehicle. Hell , even my 88 Escort was running well at 170,000 when I sold it.
As far as Hondas I have seen - Indy Honda had a 87 Accord in their showroom with "low mileage" on the window - looked at the odometer and it was 300,000!
One dealership salesman told me of an article he read where a guy had a million mile Accord.
Mine own 2001 has 88,000 on it so far.

Sister has my dad's old 87 Accord LX w/ almost 250K on it. On its 2nd tranny.

I just drove an Acura Legend at work (I think it was a Legend, I'll look tommorow if I remember), with a little over 430,000 miles on it. I had to look a few times to see if the odometer was correct, heh. Funny thing is, it actually drove okay, but I doubt it has the original engine, who knows.

Rep Power: 0 When I was trying to choose a new car I talked to this guy in an old a$$ Accord with 400K on it, looked real good for that many. Needless to say I bought a Honda. I also found a guy with a POS VW Rabbit with 300K.

with all these miles the cars have on them how much has it cost to keep them running, timing belts, water pumps, berrings struts, ect??? im looking into a used honda with 120k on it and im worried how much i will have to put into it to keep it running. has anyone thought of that?
