what's the highest mileage honda you've seen
so... what's the highest mileage honda automobile you've seen? i was at the dealership today getting my maintence, and i asked one of the service supervisors what's the highest mileage honda he's seen. he said that he has hondas with over 200,000 miles come in all the time with no problems (with regular oil changes, etc). he also mentioned his service manager had a honda (usual life span of any car about 100,000 even if that) with over 400,000 miles on it! if there's one thing that honda's are... is RELIABLE. amen!

Yeah I've got 51,xxx miles in less than two years. I'm gonna end up keeping this car till it drops dead on me, which hopefully won't be till for another 5-7 years. I'm hoping it'll last me into the 200,000+ miles. That would be awesome.

Mind you, it doesn't run very good, almost no body left, runs like ****, leaks everywhere, but it still puts along. . somehow. .

When I worked at Hondland (sales) I had a customer who had a 1989 2.0 Prelude Si with 285K on it and wanted to trade it in for a new Accord.. Worth about a buck-o-5 but that thing ran like it was just a few years old.. It had that infamous "Honda" start.
By the time I let it go, had no floorboards, no instrument lights, windows didn't work, 4 junk yard tires, no odometer, no speedo, lost the tranny (no 2nd>no3rd>no rev>no 5th), then no hood pop= THE END
I'll ***** this post while I can...I work at a car audio shop, most I've ever seen on the clock is over 500K from a 86??? Corolla, I've seen a couple hondas over 300 and 400K though. You just can't kill 'em!
longest lasting domestic?? Ive seen a chevy truck with the "ultra reliable" 350 motor in it, die at 200K... whateva, My friends 89 integra has 185K miles on it, and he drives the **** out of that car, and it runs fantastic, Im just amazed every time I ride in it, even the synchros are still in pretty good shape, the same guy has a 69 impalla, with 28K original miles on it, and the engine burns so much oil, it costs him as much in oil to drive it as he pays for gas, and that thing gets terrible gas mileage

My uncle had a 73 Doge Dart Swinger with the infamous bulletproof Dodge slant-6, drove it for a few years to & from Belize & back(or somewhere close) a few times(he is a missionary there), gave it to someone else in the family who drove it a few years & gave it back. Drove it awhile, then gave it to this dude that needed a car. He ragged the HELL outta it, gave it back bout a year later, said the tranny was acting up, ended up being some stupid easy fix. Uncle drove it for a while then gave it to my dad, who drove it awhile & gave it to my brother for his first car. He drove it for a like 2 years before my dad got severely rear ended in it & it was totaled.
Now this car had been passed back & forth to so many people, some were dumbasses who never took care of it, all who drove it HARD. The odometer had been rolled over twice that we knew of by the time my dad got it(only went to 100k) & was almost back to 100K. Before it was totaled it had zero problems with the engine & was the only car that drove home out of a 3 car accident. Hell, my dad even drove it around a few times before they hualed it off, only problem really was the *** stuck way up in the air & it had frame damage
Say what you want about Dodge, but they have made some tough *** cars!!

my old hatch's d15 had 250k when i got it i put another 20k on it then swapped out for a b16 after doin a mini-me and beating the crap outa the d15 but it still ran like a champ ultra reliable and even with 11:1 compression got better gas milage than this d17 POS
My brother has an '89 Acura Legend coupe with 150k, it runs perfectly and has had no problems, which kinda makes me mad considering I have been having some issues with my 2003 Civic
The Honda dealership in Lompoc, CA, has a wall of high milage viehicles. Although it's just a picture, it says its a 82 accord with 755,000 miles with origional engine. Don't know if I believe the origional engine part, but they have the pic of the odometer and looked legit. Others were in the range of 220,000 - 475,000.
one time i was reading a chevy truck magazine, this guy in the early 70's i think '73 bought a standard 1500 pickup and have had taken care of it for 30 years, Chevrolet of america gave him a brand new fullsize 3500 pickup because he brought his old 70's one in to the dealership everytime, once it had hit 1,000,000 miles they gave him a new one, I thought that that was cool.
I also read in moter trend last year that this one guy had a 2 dr volvo and drove the **** out of it and ended up selling it with 750,000+ on the origional motor

The rest of the time, it was either your dad, uncle, or brother who had the car.
