510 is 1800 Lbds with the SR. At 205 Hp you can imagine.
240 SX is roughly 2900 Lbds
Power to weight ratios for a Red Top SR20DET(s13):
510: 8.78 Lbds TO 1 Hp
240: 14.1 Lbds TO 1 Hp
Stuff to compare too:
Honda Civic LX Coupe OEM: 21.5 Lbds TO 1 Hp
Honda Civic LX Coupe with 250 Hp: 10 Lbds TO 1 Hp
Datsun 510 with 400 Hp: 4.5 Lbds TO 1 Hp
Suzuki GSX-R 750: 2.5 Lbds TO 1 Hp
Muahaha JUST FOR FUN with math!
Top Fuel Dragster with 500 Cubic Inch Motor outputing 8000 Hp!
3.7 HP TO 1 Lbd
Now thats some serious Power to weight instead of all our weight to power

Little note all the HP in the world doesn;t mean **** if you can't get traction. Ive ehard of guys in 510s running 12 and 13s with an SR but they are making a past at over 125 Mph. Burning out down most the track!

If I had one I personally would swap an r34 skyline motor in there and boost it to hell!

Displacement wins??? K20=2.0 Sr20=2.0
Sr20 most sr20s are actually SR20Det=already turbo charged. They are not that cheap to modify at all. Try increasing the boost... IC, injectors, etc. They are cheaper to modify than a new engine like the k20 that is forsure, but they also have 15+ years of companies making parts for them vrs 1-2.
Edit: Don't think that I am coming down on the SR20DET. I actually love it, but people just don't put things into perspective.

You can get 278 Hp with just boosting 12 lbds with the stock turbo.
You can get 400 Hp with stock injectors and a t3 turbo you just need ot knwo how to tune. 550cc injecotrs are a cheap upgrade though.
R34 Skyline has an RB26 you would have one hell of a hard time cramming that twinturbo motor in a 240.
The RB25 single turbo will fit though.

KA 24 stock isn't that powerful.... Throw on a turbo its a pretty mean motor.
CA18 is a bad *** motor to drop in that red lines at liek 9800 Rpms and has a very impressive drop forged crank like the SR series. CA18 is also a fun motor to turbo and very cheap to buy.
SR20 fun...
