there is no 440 or 446 hemi...there is a 440/440 wedge, 354,392,and also 426 hemi's...i have two hemis and a 440 siting here at my house, my dad is buliding a 34 ford three window coupe with one of the two 354's that we have and the 440 is going into a 68 dart coupe, they're gonna be some bad *** toys

What is "Hemi"?

It's a nice marketing phrase cashing in on the reputation of the past.
Yes, I suppose. But its not misleading or gimmicky at all so I dont have a problem with it. Its a real word describing a real technology. But they way they pimp it in the commercials is a bit cheesy. Not trying to bust your stones, I just thought it was an interesting point. They are cashing in on history, but atleast they arent using a "buzzword". The funniest one I still here on commercials is "Space Age". Everything since the 60's is space age. I'm space age. My fridge magnets are space age. My cats litter box is space age LOL

Oh yea about the 440 HEMIs, I used to subscribe to Mopar magazine back in the day & there was actually a late 50s or early 60s Chrysler that came with a 440 HEMI... AC & power windows!! They made very few of them & chances of ever seeing one are slim to none, but the fact remans, they were still made

Yea my whole family are classic Mopar freaks.

^^There were only 200-300 produced, so thats why you've never heard of them. I guess that barely passes as being mass produced, but they still made them though.

Edit: After searching around on the net, I cant find anything about this car. Maybee it never made production or something, but I vividly remember reading about it in the magazine, with pics. Cant remember the name, but it was something like an Imperial or something classy like that. Anyway, it very well could have been a 440 block with retrofitted HEMI heads, which I have seen, passed off as production like a hoax or something, who knows. If anyobody saw this let me know, cuz its driving me freaking insane looking for it
