Slammed, with a kit, in the snow?
Just wondering how you guys get around or deal with it? Im actually contemplating (sp?) on droping my car in the early spring. I know I said I wasnt, but I dont think I want leather anymore (since I dont have heated seats), and no real need for a strut bar if your dropped already. So, since my stock ride is already atrocious, I plan on changing the shocks, but while Im at it I might as well drop
. Basically, im just wondering how does your kit fair with the snow n all that with a drop? I know it snows here a lot in NYC, and I was just lookin at my car the other day parked on the sidewalk, and was thinkin if I were to drop my car a little bit, id be plowing snow everywhere. So, how do yall deal with it?

So, how do yall deal with it? I have been fine so far. I dropped my car 1.3" with H&R sport springs. Just be cautious and dont drive though hard snow banks. Plus get some good snow tires. I have Bridgestone Blizzaks and they are great. They cut right through most snow conditions my Firestones could not. I just would not go too low if you plan on driving it during winter. It also helps if your kit is urethane, but who knows the effect the cold will have its bending ability. The cold may cause the urethane to stiffen and become more prone to crack. Good luck.
I plan on getting hayame coilovers, still debating. If i have to raise and lower my car everytime for the winter and summer, does that mean I have to re-align my car all the time too?

I drop in the summer and raise for the winter. Im a Ny'r too thats what I recommend. I live in Suffolk and I would be plowing if my car was dropped with a kit in the snow.

. Im just debating if i should do it or not. I dont plan on buying or installing anything till like late march, mid april. im waiting another month or so before i drop at least. i've seen plenty of kits and plz if u get a kit, get urethane. i kno u have urethane tho too. i've seen tons of kits at my school who have fiberglass and it looks sooooo cheap. i dunno what kits they have but they dont fit, they dont look right. they look paper thin and they are ugly as hell.

I have a hard enough time with stock ride height. I've scraped my kit and exhaust more than a few times. Not to mention the terrible roads. Don't most cities have snow plow or ice treatments for the roads?

I don't have a kit but the snow gets in there pretty bad. Right now it's almost filled the well and now it's curlin down almost under the wheel. I can hear the tires rubbin it everytime I turn. Now that it's so damn cold I can't even get it off...
right now i do have Tein SS ... but i dont have a kit on ... i kept my ride lowered through the winter b/c i didnt wanna hassle with the hightening thing. It's done alright, haven't had any problems with it so far with being too low.
