I'm not sure exactly what happened, but it definitely did not sound like a cheap repair.
Damn, and you listen to noobs that know nothing and hear their answers? Lol. Wow. I may be a noob but im very knowledgeable lol. Anyway that sound, ( supposedly the thing that went wrong ) was the shifter grinding the clutch. If you notice when that noise happpens, he doesnt press the clutch. So after he ground the clutch, he pressed the clutch pedal and he held it down, causing the RPM's to fall so fast. And there's your answer

I don't see ANYONE in this thread claiming to be a turbo expert. I see people responding to the question asked. I also don't see any glaringly incorrect or stupid answers. I have no problem saying I know NOTHING about 1.7 liter motors LOL
You may not be unknowledgable, but you DO seem to have an attitude problem.

Yeah he needs to shift fasteror at least let off the gas when he shifts. His rpms keep jumping between each shift. As for the end, who knows. Sounded like the clutch. He might have been running too much boost and blew something in his engine. Its kinda hard to tell just from a video.
please don't kill me if this is the stupidest answer ever but... isn't that sound just as he lets go of the gas the sound of him passing the truck really fast??.. if u look his window is open a little.. and when he slows down, he pushes in the clutch so doesn't seem like anything happened...
but yes, he needs to shift faster.
but yes, he needs to shift faster.
