I probably noticed a 2-3 mpg difference, but that's not scientific either. With a newly installed roof rack with a fairing I was getting 31mpg using 93. Haven't played with lesser octanes lately, though it looks like the test would be flawed since my engine is used to 93 now.

I was on a trip to Rolla, Mo for Thanksgiving and I found a station thatgad 103 Octane. I tried it and it actually felt better. Eitherway, I feel retarded. I should of seen it coming that the engine has to work HARDER to burn higher octane fuels. That sucks. I thought I was doing good for my engine by putting in 91. I'm a mechanic and didn't see that coming. Oops. So, stick with 87, huh? Isn't 91 cleaner for the engine though? I thought higher octane meant it burns faster- Oh, well live and learn. Thanks-
