Hey Dapipelayer, you really know your stuff, cauuuseee thats exactly what Honda did for me hah, I'm not too much of a mechanic so theres no way I could've done what you listed but to all the people who said your engine is gone........ umm NO far from it, they just had to drain the water and change the oil alot of times, not saying it isn't serious just that your engine won't be dead

Wether the engine is damaged by water or not depends on how fast it was turning at the time. So it was not revving high and nothing bent or broke from the sudden stop. I feel sorry for all those folks who drowned their cars her in Los Angeles yesterday. That was some freak storm. Just glad I live on a hill.

Totally understand that Tinman, its just that some people jumped to conclusions saying "oh you got hydrolocked? then your engine is done" with like no facts to back it up, those kind of comments just don't help at all.......
but once again thanks for all the help
Yes it did get fixed, I suggest everyone with CAI get a bypass valve because you might be careful but whoever in the future that might borrow your car will not.......
Runned me about the same cost of streetglower around $295US, thats labour and all the times they had to flush the car and the amount of oil they used and lastly the spark plugs they needed to change..... so expensive but at least the car is working

very true, thats why i didn't care too much for the "your car is dead, go buy an rsx S engine"
on another note, the car is screwed like what happened to streetglower, too lazy to describe so i'll copy his paragraph
"I cant get it out of park, it is locked, I have to let the car sit for a minute or too, turn it off as well and try it again untill I can shift into drive. " - streetglower
back to Honda again i guess
