Aloha all,
Dont know if this is the appropriate forum, but I just found the site while searching for information and advice on a 2004 Civic EX.
Just purchased it over the weekend as a birthday present, and I must say it is quite sweet. I haven't owned a Civic since I sold my CRX in 2000 to get a CRV ( can you tell Im a Honda fan?), and this is the first time I'll be "breaking" in a brand new car.
Any advice during the break in period? How serious do you need to follow their suggestions?
Im familiar with only breaking in motorcycles, since they are more tempermental to during the break in period.
Also, any other 2004 owners here?

i'd advise keeping it under 55mph till 500 miles. then keep it under 70mph till 1000 miles. change the oil and filter.
have fun!
