It's only 40 and your worring? Thats not even that cold. When the streets start to get icy and the snow falls (like 2 weeks ago) I changed the rims for the steelies.

its not the temperature that worries me. it was just that it was extremly nice day with a record setting temperature on tuesday and i wanted to take advantage of it instead of having to spend that time working on it in the cold.

when do you guys usually put your rims back on?

Last winter I left my 17s on, because I had Sumitomo HTR+ tires. They're all weather and were even better than the stock Firestones. I didn't care about my rims, because I bought them used anyways.

then some retard stabbed my tires last April. Instead on blowing $300 on a new set of tires, I busted out my 18s and bought new tires for those. I don't think they're all weather tires, so I'm taking them off later this month.

i would take them off before it snows for sure, but u can leave them on till it snows or ice, cuz when its nice and cool out, thats when i like it the best. when u put the rims on, it should be in like march or so depending on where u live. when it stops snowing pull em out

Im gonna take off my wheels as soon as I get my stock ones back from a friend who borrowed tem. Im only putting them on because of the cold my suspension is really stiff and my 17's make a nice thud when i hit a pothole or anything else for that matter. Plus my tires are shot and tires for 15's are much cheaper.

I take off the good wheels and tires and put on honda 15 spokes w/blizzaks. Painted wheels hold up to the corrosion pretty well and 205/60-15s are plenty for the snow. You gota love a day when you can blow off any vette or 5.0 in town!!! I do coat the back side of the wheel where it contacts the hub with a light coat of silicone di-electric grease, you get corroision there even in warm weather due to the dissimilar metal contact.

I sold my stockers....they would be better off serving someone as EDM rims than winters for my car.
