Evo's aren't that good looking to begin with. And is mitsubishi really known for quality? No. They're only getting attention by appealing to the fast and furious crowd by building a race car. Doesn't mean much.

I haven't heard many good things about Mitsu engines in a long time...We just got them in Canada...(the car that is) and I'm not impressed at all.

Thats what you get for buying a $40,000 Mitsu. Mitsubishis stink...There reliability is horrible and there build quality is worse....

I wouldn't pay that much for a Mitsu either. I've only owned one, and it wasn't that bad, but it was the econobox Mirage.
But, our cars have a crappy paint job as well. Compare it to the Accords or the last gen. ludes and you will see a major difference in the paint quality and how it was applied. Our cars look like they were painted in a rush at the last minute.

There is no freaking way that a $40K+ car should be rusting in 5 months. No reason whatsoever! But there you go with mitsu. Over priced, and under quality.

just wait for the second year of production. they'll improve. Our 7th gens had plenty of their own problems. I own a '99 full-size Montero, and it's been terrific - absolutely no problems.
the only good thing mitsu's ever been able to produce is engines...everything else is pretty crummy...this doesnt really suprise me...if mitsu can deny the failure of roughly 1/5 engines getting crankwalk from 95-99 (it sounds like im contradicting myself, i know.)...theres no way theyll take the blame for rusting.
yes the EVO is said to sell for $28 K but tell that to the sales guys. They're taking a premium on the cars. Here in CT they're getting an extra $8-7K on top of the $28k = $35-36k.
