Unfortunately I don't think that car will ever see North American shores in it's true form...I think they plan on hyping the 350 here instead...but we can always hope that if it does it won't be a dumbed downed version....I hate that!
That's frickin sweet...... a US version would rock :P
With the evo's (http://www.fast-autos.net/mitsubishi...bishievo8.html)
and STI's (http://www.fast-autos.net/subaru/04subarusti.html) one can only hope.
I want one of those STI's so bad....

Well if it that is indeed the R35 than that is one sweet looking ride..but I haven't heard anyone talk about it anywhere else, and that does look like a possible 'chop job.
It's tight, but I'm not holding my breath.

Sorry to burst your bubbles, but that concept pic was actually made just after the R34 came out, and the R35 will look nothing like that, but it WILL hit North America
Unfortunately, the version we get will not be the same as the Japanese version, we will most likely have a NA V8 instead of a turbocharged L6
And it will no longer have the Skyline name, it will simply be called the Nissan GT-R...
On GTP, there was a nice thread about this, I'll link it here...

Why would they give us the V8? Well I guess its better than nothing.

It will be the first NA GT-R since 1973!Anyway, the reasoning behind the NA V8 is to pass California emissions, because as it stands now, the RB26DETT does not, even though they'd be using a different engine, it's just easier for them.

that concept pic was chopped too
It's a Nissan Skyline your correct... but it's not a GT-R model. For example, the R34 models have the top of the line GT-R model, then there's the regular Skylines which includes the 4 door version.
The pictures that I posted are not chopped, they are from a Japanese magazine. Neither is the first picture, that was created just after the R34 debuted in 1999, which is why it looks so similar to the R34, but the R35 will never look like that concept, but probably closer to what I posted.
As for the Infiniti G35/Skyline... yes, it's a Skyline, but it's not a GT-R Skyline, BIG difference.

If I were to take the plunge, Id just get the G35 SC, have it ported, polished, blueprinted, add i/h/e, turbo etc and chill with it.
Then again, im still partial to the old style skylines, and the right hand drive.
