well what do u mean by underratted, the 99/00 civic Si has 160hp and torque is at 111, the gsr's torque is at 128 taht like 20 more torque while hp went up only 10, yeah rite, that doesnt sound like honda, its def more like 180 from the 1.8 liter, putting it at 100hp per liter. i think the torque is rite 128. and the redline is at 8000, the 99/00 Si redlines at 8000 also cause of 100hp per liter so that means the gsr also has to be at 100hp per liter and it is.

cambo has a spectacular aura aboutcambo has a spectacular aura about
such bad information going around. just because an engine's displacement is larger, doesnt neccessarily mean it HAS to make more power. Larger displacement means more torque. Thus the reason for v6 engines that dont make that much more power than their I4 counterparts. Its not always about horsepower. Torque is a key factor in raising displacement size.

Ok I'm not sure but someone said that Honda has a Type-r version of the RSX??? Also my girlfriends RSX *base is supposed to have 180hp -flywheel i havn't got the chance to race several of my friends with SI's but do any of you know which of the two would win??

What does a CRV bottom and GSR head produce power wise....being only intake exhaust after the swap?

I just want to drive my friends S to see how much different it is from the Civic i know the base is real torque sensative and you'll burn your tires from a slight corner. He has cai, race header, tanabe racing madalion cat-back, 75 shot.

the type s and the type r run together as much as i tune cars trust me i know. the gsr is not the type s cpmpetitor. the type s is our type r replacement thats why we dont have the rsx type r. i dint mean it replaced it completely but as far as our market goes, yes if you guys can, get a type s and a type r to run eachother. you dont have to believe me but you cant call your own eyes liars.
Dathan
my money is on the S
