no such thing as an Integra Type S. If you mean an Integra Type R then tha twould be the better car.
If I remember correctly, the RSX Type-s is supposed to be a hair faster than an older Integra GSR.
If our assumptions on what you are refering to are correct, then The i-vtec of an RSX-s is also better than the vtec of the GSR. The "i" stands for "intelligent".
haha, i am in the US also, but i would rather have an acura rsx be called a honda integra. sry for the confusion.
some people told me that i-vtec covers a wider band than vtec, so when the vtec kicks in the i-vtec engine, it isnt as much as the gsr's vtec? does this make sense
i also would like to know when the vtec kicks in the gsr and when it kicks in the type s. im looking to buy a gsr, but i could spend a little more and get a used type s.
Don't get me wrong though. The GSR is awesome. I had a 98 and sometimes still miss her a little.
i prefer calling the rsx an integra, cause it really is an integra, and there is no such things as a type s in other countries, thres only a honda integra with 160hp and a type r with 220. lucky bastards.
I was driving too many miles. The Integra had to go. Every month that went by brought an extra 3500 miles to the odometer. I was running the poor thing into the ground. So, I bought a civic. Seriously, what better car when it comes to mileage? The Civics are nice. Here's a pic of what mine looks like:
It may not have the power and handling of a GSR, but it's still a nice looking car. Anyway now that I'm finally getting transfered (for work) closer to home, I'm tempted to get an RSX.

ive also heard that the gsr handles better than the type s. and does anyone know how the handling of the gsr and type s compares to the celica gts. tegra is supposedly the best FF handling car.
imo i would rather have the gsr, i think it looks better. But also i never drove a type-s.

I'm surprised no one here seems to know what the average driver of stock GS-R does. 15.2. Same for the Type S.Originally posted by cryption

People have claimed to break 14s with their Type S bone stock, but it's already been proven the fastest bone stock GS-R broke 14.9.
This is like saying which is better, the EX Civic or the LX? The Type S has the better advantage given the new engine has more low-end. Still I'd put my money on the better DRIVER.
Which has the better VTEC?
lease: The B-series' VTEC engagements are more pronounced when on the throttle compared to the refined smooth engagement of the K-series i-VTEC. I keep forgetting why but I remember everyone saying the *"i"* in the VTEC sucks.Quote:

I've never driven a stock GS-R, but I have a stock Type S. All I can add is the chassis of the RSX is a lot stiffer, and the DC5R will run circles around the DC2R stock for stock. I love how my bro's GS-R handles by just being lowered on GCs and Tokico blues.Originally posted by x2oprdctnz

EDIT: I still prefer the way my car handles over his.

get an integra type R and smoke the Type S
BTW the Type S has less potential because they've added more restrictions for tuning.
