So the V8 part in a Honda TRUCK may come true, but NOT in a Civic!!!! And if I were in the market for a truck, and the end result looked like this concept drawing,

Funny enough, that engine isn't a true Honda, it's built by Ilmor Racing, which is owned by Mercedes-Benz, which are also responisible for building the Mercedes-Benz Formula One engine.

seriously man..the best thing that could happen is like the 2.0L gets put into the civic..somehow they'd make it 140 for dx or something 160 for ex maybe?...cuz by then the si would have to make more and so would the rsx and rsx-s......yeah HOPEFULLY...and more predictions..the 2.4L goes into rsx and rsx-s..and hmm what would happen to the tsx then..ok im rambling

so many things wrong with this guys statement, lol, but the entire thread is hilarious. How come noone mentioned jet engines in a civic, they have two of those in the Thrust 2, I'm sure they can fit 4 in a civic, get close to 80,000 horses with that, break the speed record too.

can we let this die allready?

Honda is not going to make a V8 powered civc. It would be the most Nose heavy Understeering pig ever created.

ok folks let me put a lot of this to rest. honda will never put a v8 in a civic. i think we all know this. as you all know that honda is going to produce a new truck which will be based on the piolt plate form. i think it will have a v8 in it. they have gotten technical help from chevy to build a v8 that will be ideal for a truck. the techniacl help was a part a of a deal they worked out when chevy wanted to but engines from honda to put in a line of theirs, not sure which one. all of this information is factual, because i work for honda of america. thats right folks i build them. so i know about things before anybody else. if anyone has any questions iwill try to get you awnsers if it possible.
