No, never seen a V8 by Honda and don't expect it.
That is domestics and their big block attitude.
Plus, Honda doesn't build civics for power, they are for economy.

hahaah u idiot.
i think i can safely guarantee you that Honda is NOT going to waste a nonexsistant V*8 engine on their lowest, cheapest car
edit: ok.. "nonexsistant v8 production engine"

lol... we were all n00bs at one point in time... but your friend's dad got you pretty good...
if honda ever decided to put a v8 in a production car... it would probably be under a different name other than civic... civic = economy

I don't think Honda would make such a drastic move on their Civic legacy. Expect Civic to comed stock turbo'd perhaps in 10 years (very late in the market; even the Kia spectra would probably have FI before us)

I think you got the information wrong. I have heard rumors that Honda wants to bring a Truck by 2005 with a V6 and V8. Part of the rumor says that is the reason why GM and Honda are working together. Honda let GM use their engines on some models and that in change GM will provide support for the Truck or a possible return of the NSX with a V8.
I already got chewed by S200man01 for saying this beause "Honda doesn't need any help making engines". I agree Honda makes one of the best V8 engines when it comes to racing but for a daily driven or designed for a truck I don't know. Even if they got the engine for the truck I still think that they need some support to design a truck for heavy duty use.
Any ways those are just rumors and all I'm doning is passing the rumor.

the only thing i have heard for the civic in 2005, is that greddy is thinking of making a production civic with a turbo (t5 bb) that is going to be like 250 bhp, and mugen is also going (maybe) to make a production car (hatchback body) that creates 280 bhp and is NA!!!!
