Ok here's a little venting that you all may or may not share in.
I'm gonna replace the door skins on my car before I get it repainted. You know why? Because I'm sick and damn tired of getting dinged from 'Soccer Mom' and 'White Trash Wanda' in the parking lots! I mean honestly, you park away from everyone and still some ***** in an SUV with doors like the panels on a Satelite, a Minivan or some white trash peice of s h i t car parks next to you. Then without even thinking, swing the doors open and ding your prized posession. This didn't happen recently by the way, I'm just tired of noticing them in the doors when I clean her or having people say "Hey, you have a ding in your door."
So here's my plan of action.....
I'm getting the car repainted because it's getting put away this winter and the current paint has suffered through 3 winters. So, I might as well replace the damn door skins (unless I can get all the dents out, which I doubt). Then I'm gonna hire some guy to sit in my car when I'm not in it and point a f u c k i n g gun at people that try to park next to me.
The only way to avoid it, or so I thought was to park next to a very expensive car. That way at least one car would likely take care so as to not ding there own ride. Until I saw this beeyatch this past winter chopping ice off the hood of her brand new E Class with an ice scraper! Big 'ol furr coat and an ice scraper in hand...Had to be the hubbies car...I'm guessing a divorce was likely in the cards.
Anyway...I'm done venting for now...thanks for the time....

I also try to find a corner/endofrow space so I only have to worry about one side. Try not to park near the entrance or where the main flow of pedestrian traffic is. They'll pass by your car and not even notice that they are wiping their asses on your car.
just bare with the factory paint for now. a whole-body paint job won't last as long as OEM paint. If it's really that bad to your feelings, just find a professional to remove them.

yeah that's what i do when there's a curb. When possible, I get withing 2 inches of the curb so there's about 1-2 feet of space on the other side before the border between spaces. I hate when the assbitch who parks next to me parks over the line (getting closer to me) because I left a lot of space there. It's like the line didn't even exist.
There were even bigger spaces at the mall one time. I found a nice endofrow space next to a store. I parked about 3 feet into a yellow striped patch and there was about 3 feet of space on the passenger side. There was already a car parked next to me on that side and that's why I parked partly on the patch to avoid him dinging my car before I got done shopping. Lo and behold I buy my clothes and when I'm back the other car was still there, but guess what... a stupid piece of crap Golf parked in between. He must have gotten out of his rear hatch because there was literally only 6 inches on both sides of his car, between my car and the other guy. what an ***.

I park out in BFE, and take up two spots. Works well unless the parking lot is totally packed. RARELY will anyone park too close in that case. And I could care less if people think me an arrogant *** for it.
I think the same for them parking next to me and hitting my car with their doors with no thought of how I feel about my own property. They can eat ****.

Don't park next to Camaro's because I heard they have the longest doors (and therefore biggest chance of smashing one of them into your car).
Can someone verify if this is true about their doors?

I would park out in BFE and take two spaces but GSU just loves giving me tickets anyways. They would love to see me double parked. I've pissed off the guy that puts tickets on my car by getting them all voided so now he literally is hunting me I think.
One time before I had gotten the vic, I was driving dad's GSR for two weeks. When he came back and gave me my truck back I noticed a ding on the teg. I was like oh ****, and then was like, dad, uh i didn't notice this before, I'll fix it and he told me that it happened when he was driving. Whew, that could have sucked.

My old roomate had a shared garage (he drove a Teg) and the neighbor that parked next to him let his 10 year old kid door ding his Teg like 15 times. It cost this neighbor like $800 out of pocket to fix. The irony in it is that Teg got totalled out like 2 months after coming back from the body shop! The neighbor saw it leave the garage on a flatbed... we laughed. My friend drives a 99 vic HB now.
