Hyundai has come a long way . The quality of their products is very good in my opinion. My Hyundais do not rattle, squeak or make any rude noises while driving. They get the job done very nicely. The one area Honda has a clear advantage in is engineering. Mechanically speaking, the Honda is smoother, more efficient and just "feels" better than my Hyundais. Hyundai engines tend to buzz when pushed. Hondas come into their own when pushed. Saying Hyundai is crap is utter rubbish. I would by another Hyundai in a heartbeat over GM, Ford or Chrysler.

I hate to say it, but my friend bought a Tib a year ago. He has had many problems with it already and is going to put it up for sale. I love the new body style, but the car just looks cheap on the inside and the ride is even worse. I was going to trade my civic for one until I drove my friends. As far as the V6 being fast...My friend couldn't beat a RSX-S once out of 10 races...They even switched cars and the RSX still beat him. Both cars were stock as well. I don't want to sound bias, but I'm just giving you advice from personal expierance.

hey,
Hyundai has 10 year 100 000km POWERTRAIN WORRANTY! MEANS ENGINE COMPONENTS only!! how about rattling in 1 year, and speaker distortion in 7 months???
OF course you will not take 10 year to drive 100 000Km??? I bet you guys, within 6 years you will probably reach 100 000Km so the 10 year part is void! so It is actually a 6 years 100 000Km warranty like Honda!
The reason I doubt about Hyndai is because they play too much trick! first false HP then the non-sense warrantee.
thank about it! just easy math man!

I'm not even sure that the Civic and Tiburon are in the same class... kind of an unfair comparison for the Civic.
Isn't the Hyundai Elantra more of a fair comparison to the Civic (in terms of class level) ?
Saying that the Tiburon V6 is better than the the Civic, is like saying the RSX Type-S is better than the Tiburon 4cyl ... unfair comparisons in both cases.

all I have to say is that with the proper driver, the car really dosn't matter much.
even the old tiberon does well with the right driver

yeah, it is true...
should not compare tib with civic.
to be fair, check the prise, we can only compare EX coupe with the 4 cylinder tib, not with the V-6 leather seat one. Totally not fair. Different class.
However, if you get a tib and people compare your car witha civic, pretty sad hum?
