Hello,
New to the site, I have a 2006 civic. I just noticed tonight that I have a solid red light at the top of my windshield that I've never noticed before. Not sure if it's part of my anti theft system or not. The red light on my dash is still blinking but I've never noticed this one before. The car is stock with nothing added. Any idea of what it is? Any help would be appreciated.

So, by "behind," are you talking about towards the rear or the car? And if so, are you talking about a little red light that's part of the overhead console (e.g. map lights)?

No it's at the front of the car at the top of the windshield, can be seen from outside the car and not inside

I might have to check out my friend's 08 to see if hers has it, too. I've never noticed one. Nothing aftermarket installed in that area, right?

Could be a remote start, I am the second owner and didn't think it had remote start because I didnt recieve a remote start fob. I will check the car tomorrow. Thanks

Try hitting the lock button on your normal fob 3 times, some systems work like that

It is a remote start antenna, guess I'll have to go to a shop to get a remote

Find the control unit and get the model number. Then search and see if someone is selling the whole kit on a buy and sell site for like $20/$30 dollars, it will be way cheaper than buying just the remote
