Question Are 8th Gen Civics easy to steal?

Hello All... I'm the new owner of a 2007 Honda Civic Coupe and I'm wondering if 8th Gen Civics are easy to steal?

I'm kinda paranoid after having my 1999 Civic stolen 4 times and wondering if I should invest in an alarm and club.

Has anyone ever had their's stolen? If so how difficult is it?

Thanks in advance

7th gen and newer are equipped with Immobilizer system.

Pros would steal it with a tow truck.
Edit: Or carjacking

Its possible, but highly unlikely since you're vehicle is a low value asset.

There is a way of stealing supercars which was exposed in many places including here in Vancouver.

It involves having a radio frequency scanner, which needs to be in proximity to the key (some can scan through a house); which can clone the signal, to be used on a blank key, or fob.

2000 and earlier are easier to steal because they don't have the immobilizer system (key need match the ECU programming)
