2010 - removing door panel that won't open (broken latch cable?)
2010 - removing door panel that won't open (broken latch cable?)
my 2010 coupe's driver's side door won't open. I went to shut it one day and the latch must've been slightly off center, and it must've broken the connection between the latch and the cable. I was able to get it to shut, without thinking about the fact I would not be able to open it if the cable was snapped. Ive been crawling in and out of my passengers side door for over a week.
is there a way to remove the inside panel to see what the problem is/fix it without opening the door?

I was able to on my girlfriend's 99, you might be able to on the newer cars,
If you do end up mangling the door panel you can always get one from a junkyard pretty cheap.
Make sure you remove all the screws, and what ever trim pieces, handles, etc and then start pulling and prying
I think I either pulled straight up, or pried the lip at the window off the door first.
